• What’s the most painful spot to get a tattoo?
Some of the most painful spots are: Armpits, palm of your hands, top of you feet and knee ditches.
• What are some of the easiest and less painful spots to get tattooed?
Pain is very different to each one of us — but some of the easiest/less painful spots are on the arm. Specifically, the forearm.
• What is tattoo pain compared to?
Some people compare it to a cat scratch, but i believe it depends on the location of the tattoo. Again, pain is a very individual thing, but I’d say it feels more like a burning sensation, very mild. Some areas you’ll mostly just feel a vibration and pressure.
• How do I find a good tattoo artist?
Research and always choose quality over money. Remember, it’s on you forever. Don’t choose an artist that doesn’t do exactly the style you’re looking for. For the most part, we all have basic knowledge on most styles, but if you want to guarantee a good tattoo — don’t go to someone who’s specializes in something else other than what you’d like to do. Example: going to a traditional/old school artist to do fine line or vice versa.
• How are tattoos priced?
Tattoo pricing varies based on factors like size, complexity, and artist experience.
Minimum charges typically range from $100 to $200, with hourly rates varying by artist. For example, I have a minimum rate of $200 for all custom projects.
• What forms of payment are accepted?
Most studios accept cash and major credit cards. But cash is always preferred.
• Do tattoo artist prefer cash tip?
I accept cash and card tips only.
•How can I ensure the studio is safe and hygienic?
Choose a licensed tattoo establishment where artists use sterile, single-use needles and disposable equipment. The studio should maintain cleanliness and follow infection control protocols.
• What aftercare is needed?
Proper aftercare includes keeping the tattoo clean, avoiding sun exposure and swimming for at least two weeks. Read about aftercare HERE.
• Do I need a consultation before my tattoo?
While not always mandatory, consultations are recommended to discuss design ideas, placement, and any concerns.
• Can I bring children or pets to my appointment?
Children are generally not permitted in the tattoo area for safety and hygiene reasons.
Pets are typically not allowed, except for service animals.
